Dr. Nels Nelsen is originally from the Gulf Coast of Florida. He completed his Undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and his Chiropractic Studies at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
 He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
In 1999, Dr. Nelsen further advanced his education by obtaining a Post-Graduate degree in Chiropractic Neurology from New York Chiropractic College. He is a board certified Chiropractic Neurologist.
Dr. Nelsen is a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and a honorary member of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club of Goldsboro.
Dr. Nelsen has practiced Chiropractic Medicine for 18 years with the last 16 years in Goldsboro North Carolina. He is a avid fisherman and enjoys the North Carolina coast with his wife Connie and their two children Quinn and Summer.

Dr. Nelsen’s Massage-a-Teacher program is what finally pushed me to come in and see what he could do for my condition. I had already had surgery on my low back a few years ago but was still having to take anti-inflammatory drugs and pain killers to get through the day. The pain had even started spreading into my neck, shoulders, and upper back. It got to the point where I couldn’t even turn my head to the left to look beside me or behind me, and I was having unbearable headaches at least 4 or 5 times a week. I have been a patient of Dr. Nelsen’s for 2 years now and am more than pleased with the outcome. I am more flexible than ever and am no longer experiencing headaches. The Spinal Decompression treatments have allowed me to be more active than ever before and do the things I enjoy without pain. I’m so glad I’ve found something that works and wish I hadn’t neglected getting care sooner.
