A few years ago I had a fall that resulted in severe low back and hip pain. I had always enjoyed walking for exercise; however, due to this accident I was no longer able to walk a short distance without pain, much less walk for exercise. I noticed that my gait had shortened, and my balance was off because I was constantly favoring my good side. The pain bothered me so much that I even had difficulty sleeping. All of that has changed since I started letting Dr. Nelsen treat my condition. I am now back to walking everyday, and get some of the best night’s rest I’ve ever had. I’ve also noticed an increase in my range of motion and flexibility that I never dreamed I’d be able to regain. Dr. Nelsen and his compassionate staff have helped me return to my normal activities pain free!

I started coming to Nelsen Chiropractic & Spinal Decompression in October, 2009. I had heard about Spinal Decompression Therapy and was anxious to see if it could help with the pain I had been experiencing in my right leg and thigh. The ATM2 is a system that holds a patient in a pain-free standing position while the person performs exercises that were painful when not in the ATM2.

This type of cutting edge treatment addresses movement disorders that result in acute and chronic pain with movement. Increased intrinsic muscle stabilization leads to significant improvements in global flexibility of the body. The more flexibility you are able to maintain as you age the more active lifestyle you will be able to enjoy!!

During the exercises, the central nervous system "memorizes" the pain-free movements, so that when patients are off the unit, they're able to perform the movement without pain and with better range of motion.

Golfers start to tighten up at an early age, and need an effective way to condition their core muscles, increase flexibility, and increase coordinated movement throughout their spine. Stretching and conditioning your spine is not painful or strenuous on the ATM2, nor is it complicated.
